Saehan Nanotech Co., Ltd. has signed an export contract for rare earth permanent magnet processing equipment, further solidifying its position as a global supplier of diamond wire sawing machines for the EV motor and renewable energy supply chain.
The contract covers a multi-wire diamond wire sawing machine specifically configured for precision slicing of sintered NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron) rare earth permanent magnets — the critical component in EV traction motors and direct-drive wind turbine generators.
This contract follows Saehan Nanotech's successful completion of Korea's first motor magnet cutting project in 2024, which validated the company's proprietary tilting and rotating wire sawing technology for rare earth magnet processing at industrial scale.
"Rare earth permanent magnets cannot be cut with conventional saws due to brittleness and fire risk from metallic dust. Diamond wire sawing with water-based coolant is the industry-standard safe solution, and we have pioneered this technology in Korea," said CEO Ahn Kook Jin.
Saehan Nanotech designs, manufactures, installs, and services all equipment in-house at its Changwon, Korea headquarters and factory.
